Good Trouble, Necessary Trouble: 24 Freedom Riders

Look at the faces.  Some are black, some are white, some are young, and some are old. Some are smiling, some are defiant, some are resigned.  For most, this is their first arrest, their first time being in the segregated south, their first time fighting for a cause.  For others, this may be part of a larger picture of protest and struggle. For many, this wouldn't be their last arrest in service of a cause.
